76  Intelligent information

Since all forms of life contain a code (DNA/RNA molecules) and the other laws of information, this clearly falls within the definition of information. We can therefore conclude that there must be an intelligent originator/sender.

Application of NLI-4:

Since there is no provable process in the material world in which information has been produced on its own, this also applies to all information found in living beings. NLI-4 therefore requires here also an intelligent originator who wrote the programs originally.

Biblical reference:

“In the beginning God created the heavens and the Earth ...And God said: Let the Earth put forth vegetation, plants yielding seed, and fruit trees bearing fruit in which is their seed, each according to its kind ...And God said: Let the waters bring forth swarms of living creatures, and let birds fly above the Earth across the firmament of the heavens. So God created the great sea monsters and every living creature, ... each according to its kind, and every winged bird according to its kind ...And God said: Let the Earth bring forth living creatures according to their kinds, cattle and creeping things and beasts of the Earth according to their kinds” 1..

The word "said" is in bold type to emphasize how God created life on Earth by means of His word in the role of an information sender.
